This project explores the vulnerability and hardships in a growing, long-distance relationship at an unprecedented time of isolation. Separated by 1158 miles, a romantic relationship began and grew between me in Colorado and a woman in Oregon. Daily communication, consisting mainly of video calls and text messages, was punctuated by occasional in-person visits. We learned to rely intimately on one another without the aid, and sometimes crutch, of physical touch.
